Head of Framework Nation Support Branch

Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervision of the work of the Operational Support Branch (the Branch includes an IT expert, an IT security expert, a public relations expert, an event manager and a secretary)
  • Provide a support function for multi-national staff, in particular for new employees when they move to Latvia and start their work in a new country
  • Planning and supporting events and training courses organized by the Centre
  • Creation of documents governing the work of the Branch and the Centre (within his/her scope)
  • Long-term planning of the operations and technical support of the Branch and the Centre, in cooperation with the Financial Controller
  • Ensuring the functionality of computer networks and IT platforms
  • Organizing procurement procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to the working environment, property maintenance and management
  • At least a bachelor's degree (preferably – a master's degree) in management, economics, law or another field related to the position
  • Understanding of NATO, its policies and areas of activity
  • Ability to work in both a military and civilian environment
  • Excellent English skills
  • Knowledge of information technologies and key aspects of IT system security
  • At least 3 years’ experience in an administrative management position (preferably – in public administration or a related field)
  • Diplomatic skills, initiative and ability to work in a team, and the ability to work in a multi-national environment
  • High work capacity and a sense of responsibility
  • Compliance with the requirements specified in Section 9, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Official Secrets of the Republic of Latvia
 

The following skills will be considered as a plus

  • Work experience in a multi-national company/organization
  • Experience in a national or international military organization
  • Experience in organizing and supervising procurement procedures
  • Experience in economic and administrative management and maintenance of a company/organization
