The NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence is pleased to announce that our annual, newly rebranded one-day conference, Digital Frontlines 2025, will take place on 8 October 2025 in Riga, Latvia.
Formerly known as Emerging Trends in Social Media, the conference has evolved to reflect the rapidly shifting dynamics of the information environment. The new conference name, Digital Frontlines, captures the complexity and urgency of today’s information environment.
Over the years, the conference has become a key platform bringing together experts from academia, government, the military, and industry. Past discussions have explored topics such as psychological impact created by social media, misuse of those platforms by adversaries, and the growing influence of AI — both as a threat and a tool for countering digital manipulation.
Digital Frontlines 2025 will broaden its focus even further. This year’s agenda will cover:
- The future of social media
- AI’s influence on judgment and rational thinking
- Vulnerabilities in the gaming space
- Strategies for reaching audiences in closed-off information environments
...and more.
Detailed program will be published soon.
Official invitations to the conference will be sent out by email by mid-August. If you have not received the invitation by then, express your interest by reaching out to us at events@stratcomcoe.org.
