As the politically strategic processes become more influenced by the information environment, NATO StratCom COE invites university graduates, researchers and other interested parties to participate in the call for scenarios “Beyond Information Influence” by developing innovative and foresightful scenario ideas for exercising strategic communications in governments, military institutions and similar environments.
Over the past decade, the world has witnessed how means of communications has been increasingly weaponized and hybrid threats manifested themselves against the states and governments. Operating in such environment requires an intensive preparation, as well as training for the key personnel in dealing with digital and strategic communication challenges.
NATO StratCom COE supports exercise design based on fictitious political and military scenarios. These scenarios play an essential role in creating a realistic environment for challenging exercise injects. As a follow up for this call, NATO StratCom COE will invite authors of the best submissions to present and further discuss their scenario ideas during the upcoming symposium and exercise the development in Riga, tentatively at the end of this year.
How to apply?
In order to participate in this call, prospective contestants must develop an innovative scenario that could be transformed into real life situation for potential training. The volume of the paper depends on the vision of the participant. Scenario papers must be submitted digitally on callforscenarios.org until 5th November, 2021.
What is the prize?
As a follow up for this call, NATO StratCom COE will invite authors of the best submissions to present and further discuss their scenario ideas during the upcoming symposium and exercise the development in Riga, tentatively at the end of this year.
