On 16th and 17th April, 2015 the NATO StratCom Centre of Excellence organised two workshops which focused on hybrid warfare and its challenges for NATO countries.

On 16th April the NATO StratCom COE held a discussion on information activities in the context of hybrid warfare. During the event, three research organisations from Latvia, Estonia and Poland presented ongoing research conducted under the auspices of the NATO StratCom COE. The event programme included the presentation of several case studies on propaganda and the use of internet media for information activities, as well as input by experts from NATO, Ukraine, Estonia and Latvia. The discussion was held under Chatham House rules, and was attended by researchers, representatives of governmental structures, and representatives of the mass media from NATO countries.

On 17th April the experts met for a round-table discussion on how NATO as an organisation and its member states can protect themselves against subversive leverage.

The events gathered a wide spectrum of participants including government representatives, military, communication experts, as well as academics from various nations and NATO members.
