The digital environment enables instantaneous, cross-border exchanges of information, which has made possible innovative business models and new ways to communicate. But the digital environment also harbours novel threats to individuals’ human rights and to security interests of nations across the globe. Recognising these developments, the NATO StratCom COE organised an invite-only workshop with representatives from industry, academia, and government to discuss what regulation is needed in the digital space. We summarise the key take-aways from the workshop in the publication.
