On 23 May, a joint Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian, and Polish European Affairs Committee press conference took place. It was dedicated to migration issues, the situation in Ukraine, and strategic communication regarding Russia's information campaign against Euro-Atlantic values. Speakers at this press conference were delegates of the European Affairs Committees of the Baltic states and Poland--Lolita Čigāne, Gediminas Kirkilas, Kalle Palling, and Joanna Heger.
The Press Conference was organised in connection with the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs (COSAC) that will take place in The Hague, 12-14 June 2016.
A panel discussion regarding these topics was also held during the conference. Participating speakers were Juris Poikāns, Latvian ambassador to Ukraine, Jānis Sārts, Director of the NATO StratCom COE, Evika Siliņa, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia, and Dmitrijs Trofimovs, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia.
